June 19th.. I thought that this birthday was going to be boring, and I did my fair share of complaining this fact two weeks before the actual day. After a breakfast with my grandma, brother, and the kids, I got a HUGE surprise. My husband planned for us a weekend away. Well, sort of. A night away. Out of town. No kids. (Hadn’t had one of those in over 2 years). So my parents took the kids and we went up to Sacramento. Took a tour of the Capital,
saw the Peace Officer’s Memorial, and had a marvelous romantic dinner at the Melting Pot.
Then we saw The Proposal at the K Street theatre. Awesome. Saturday the 20th we woke up super early and jammed home to get the kids and get ready for a day on the boat. With my parents and brother (who was celebrating his 20th bday) and some friends.
The kids loved the water at Lake Hogan. Justice went on her first ever tube ride. She is getting to be such a big girl!!
Then we came home and had a bbq for a few friends. Our first time ever hosting a get together in our home. About time, since we’ve lived here for 5 years!! Sunday was Father’s Day and after church we visited the father-in-law and my Dad.
Monday the 22nd was LNO to celebrate the 3 June birthdays: Mandy, Carie (who shares my birthdate) and me! It was funny to learn that we are in a sequence of 5's. I turned 25, Mandy 30, and Carie 35.. We had dinner at RAW and dessert at Strings. It was great to spend time with these wonderful ladies who have such passion for the Lord. Thank-You, God for the friendships!
